Model

Everything started...

In 2016 archaeological excavations began by Annie Dumont in Sermesse. Underwater surveys have made it possible to discover the remains of a boat-mill which sank in the Doubs at the end of the 17th century. It consisted of two boat hulls (Image 2): the first the wider "Corte" and the second is the narrower "fairground".

These boats as well as objects that belonged to the miller, rest at the bottom of the Doubs, 4 meters deep. Their stay lasted more than 300 years and kept a good state of conservation under water.

The cause of the sinking, archaeologists have assumed that this event may have occurred from a relatively exceptional flood. It remains a hypothesis which is confronted by the position of the mill (Image 5).

Afterwards...

Two carpenters from the company "pro frame" members of the association uttered the magic phrase "and if we rebuild the mill." And there an adventure begins and to start we will build a model of the mill. The model is under construction, soon you will find pictures.
